Letting Go

Seated calmly in his meditation posture the young yogi began his intended inward journey, through the composite self and onward toward the Infinite.

After a period he confronted the realization that ultimate success would mean going the way of a raindrop entering the Ocean, or a cloud evaporating in the vastness of Sky (releasing the erroneous notion of independent self-hood to know the permanent wholeness of the larger true Self). He drew a deep breath, opened his eyes and redirected his attention to the familiar comfort of scriptural study!
