Our relative impermanent life experience, our pasts and futures, unfold within the changeless timeless Present, similar to the transitioning images of a motion picture which are given life through the continuously shining light of the projector.
The light of Consciousness produces and supports the appearance of beings and things on the screen of space-time. It is the changeless permanent essence of countless individualized, temporary expressions of Itself. Hence, Buddhists assert: “There is no individual person and there is no independent universe.”
The light of Consciousness is free of changing conditions, though enabling the appearance and experience of changing conditions. It radiates eternally, never diminished, and is our true home in which we dwell forever.
