It is interesting that many organizations, communities and groups who claim to be spiritually based and of spiritual service are exclusionary, clannish, insular, protective and prideful, while Spirit is ever expansive and inclusive!
It seems to be “human nature” to want to experience the security that comes with a sense of belonging, and to feel somehow special or even superior in someway, by being part of a certain teaching that satisfies these needs. The problem arises when this involvement reinforces ego parameters and limits learning to the particular “truth” that is being offered.
