The clarity of mind that allows enlightened insights and spiritual knowledge to visit our awareness differs markedly from the partial understanding we might acquire from an other’s expressed spiritual realizations. It is our direct insights into this life that inspire and quicken our journey toward wholeness. These awakenings may arise during introspection or spontaneously anywhere, anytime, usually when we are quietly focused on a task, creative or mundane.
Spiritual knowing dawns during periods of self-forgetting, when our usually pronounced sense of independent self-hood is momentarily abandoned. Our larger true Self (Pure Consciousness) becomes more influential once habitual egoic boundaries are forgotten.
